Lisa Anderlini from LAU Clothing reached out to us with a beautiful idea: she wanted to use some of our designs as the basis for textile patterns in her upcoming collection. We loved the idea and decided to build something a bit more advanced for her. Instead of just handing over finished designs, we developed an online tool made to create. At first, we experimented with automatic pattern generators. In the end, the tool became a drawing app with a twist. With every stroke you make, the program instantly generates hundreds of additional lines and dots that move across the screen like a swarm of ants. This playful system creates highly complex compositions, almost by accident. When you’re done, just click «Export» and a ready-to-use PDF is generated automatically. The collaboration is now live. It’s sooo amazing to see our visuals move from screen to fabric.
